Mendenhall Valley

Homes for sale in Mendenhall Valley are located to the north of Downtown Juneau, close to the Mendenhall Glacier. Known locally as “The Valley”, this is the part of Juneau where you’ll find the greatest number of houses for sale. Both the Valley and the glacier above it were named for Thomas Corwin Mendenhall, who, as superintendent of the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, was responsible for defining the exact border between Alaska and Canada.
